News Interest in EV trucks like F150 Lightning is plummeting — here's why

Other then some Gov mandate for EV, in my view, I've not heard a good answer to; why EV or even plug in for a working truck? My digging into the CO2 math finds EV stays net negative throughout its life time, unless very small battery / elec motor in a hybrid. Even on a small battery the...

9 hidden Google Maps features everyone should know

I love google maps. Am on beta track. I do wish there was middle ground between dynamic download map data on demand vs off line maps down load. In spotty cell service IMHO maps should keep a cache of recent map data vs just tossing it. Todays cell phones have oodles of space. Theres no...

    Can't connect to wifi

Not this exact scenario, but I've bought $10 wifi USB sticks to solve similar problems. Since the lap top is nearly worthless without wifi, tossing $10 at a work around in my mind is well worth it. Then you'll get a new driver etc. Good luck. I just HATE windows / HW fritzes.

Should I wait for the new Dell XPS 15?

XPS15 sounds nice. But after giving myself an ulcer trying to figure out a "usability" solution to the win8's on new HW I thankfully re-discovered buying low usage used laptops off ebay. Just bought a dell E6430u (ultrabook) with the better display, I7, SSD, back lite keyboard for a whopping...

    iPhone Rumors - 6S, 6S Plus and 6C Arriving in 2015

All this is completely irrelevant given my iphone can't even perform as a mediocre phone and save more than 100 last calls and even does a poor job indexing those messily calls. Type in the last 4 digits of a caller's phone number and it won't find the number you are looking right at. It's all...

Intel i5 vs Intel i7, will the difference really be worth fussing over?

For business use I find the I5 to be a great CPU. I have a full boat I7 on my desktop, both win7 and win7 and apps just don't know what to do with the cores at work. cores are a waste in a business scenario! Higher clock rate and fewer cores if that saves cost is better than sub 3Ghz and more...

Wireless Keyfinders To Track Down Your Keys (or Phone)

as an engineer in a similar space I realized the fatal problem with this type of product... Each device must have a very low battery drain always on receiver. I suspect the many poor product reviews I read was due to dead batteries, just when you need to use the product. After thinking about...
