    Depends on what part of a restore, but most likely it will have a corrupt OS, though you should be able to just rehook it up to iTunes and restore it.

    2 things to do, try another sd card in the phone, and try that sd card in another phone so you know if its a phone or sd card problem. try wiping off and reaseating the card if you havn't yet

    when you have it plugged in, look at the photos tab and it will show what folder is syncing, you probly just have to specify there.

    Most likely you could root it and install a custom rom on it, though hard to say if the english custom roms would work with that hardware the same, have you ever rooted a phone?
