If you bought a cheap one online. that's your problem. Try an octopus or a bar one. That 2 to 1 cord maybe in the wrong direction. Some cables only allow signal to go 1 way. You may have the wrong 1.

I suggest you uninhstall the video card and reinstall it. Also if your card has digital audio. It may have switched your default audio. Does your card support sound? most new ones will send sound via hdmi cables.

Can you enter safe mode? If so restore your pc before the update. Turn auto update off. You should be good to go.

My toshiba laptop dvd tray oppened, but was blocked. i moved it so it would open all the way. when i placed any cd dvd in it, it dosn't recognize there's one inside. and makes a funny noise.
