Just run a Standard user account and you then negate 90% of stuff straight away without the need for AV.

You could just use a standard account instead of an Admin one and neutralise 90% of malware out there.

I do all sorts when I get these calls. The last one when he said "Please press the CTRL key!" I just said "Key? Is that like in a door lock?" He asked a couple more times and then realised, swore and hung up.

In the long run Unchecky is probably more effective then any of them for the usual user.

The interesting thing is that before MS included MSE/Defender in Windows 8 it always used to score very highly. Now that it's baked into Windows...it scores very badly in all these 'independent' tests. Hmmm you'd think some folks would have a vested interest in it scoring badly...

As MS say, its the baseline for AV on Windows. Its the main AV that the malware writers have to crack so its going to do poorly compared to the more obscure AV suites. However, blocking scripts, dumping Java, Flash and being careful what you install negates the need largely for the more complex...

The other issue with the Apple Watch is that once someone really breaks it down they'll find that it only has around $40 worth of gold scrap value. Plus it's not even pure gold, it's an alloy.
