you whouldnt usually be able to see physical damage to a processor most of the time. especially if that CPU is soldered to the MB. i dont think yours is but either way...a sandy bridge pentium would throttle and shut down before any heat damage would occur. they're designed specifically to do...

you need to shoot the video in the correct aspect ratio. if you're shooting in 4:3, for example, you will get black bars on a 16:9 monitor.

sounds like windows installed the recovery partition (or the actual OS itself) somewhere other than your main OS drive. access the bios and try installing again. make sure you select the right storage device and unplug any/all other storage devices while installing.

not sure im understanding the question. if you want a laptop with specific specs, get one with those specific specs.

also, there ARE laptops out there with desktop CPUs in them. they're just not very common.
