Hi Lolydincanberra, I have the same issue with xp because my antivirus blocks it... also the crashed windows did it.. i reformat my pc and install windows 7 now my problem gone.. Hope someone will give you solution.. All the best

Did you have flash player?... Actually chrome update the flash player automatically.. try to update the chrome go to customize and control google chrome option (spanner symbol) and click about google chrome for update or go to this link...

Did you got any error codes?

Did the head set works with any other pc...? did you hear sound without headset?... Did you see any yellow exclamation mark near device manager? if so then it is because of audio driver...?
