Solved! Remote code stuck
My Panasonic DMR-ez485V combo DVD/ VCR is frozen in rc-2 after I switched it from rc-1 (the correct code)! When it wouldn't switch back, I turned the unit off. Even holding 2 and ok as manual says doesn't regain connection to remote. Unit and remote can't connect.
