Hi Namekuseijin, Did you ever get your laptop repaired? I have the same laptop with exactly the same issue. Have tried replacing the paste with varying types and the heat transfer pads on the GPU also but to no avail. It seems odd like you say how the copper is only hot upto the graphics...
