Don't be fooled by the HD upgrade, these simple graphic filters have been around for decades on PC emulators such as znes, mame, and various others. It's just a blitter technique that takes those "jaggies" away but still looks a bit faded around the edges. THAT is the trade-off and for $99.99...

Who cares? Everyone watches Youtube and use torrent for movies, shows etc on their PC desktop/laptop and then convert that to watch on iPhone/iPad/ or <insert your Tablet of choice here> these days. You'd have to be absolutely MENTAL to pay attention to TV these days.. =(
