if you are comparing 960m 2gb with 960m 4gb, then just go for 970m as it is on the Maxwell 2 architecture and not as expensive budget wise. 960m is on the older Maxwell-1 and is significantly slower.

For non-gaming, it will last a very long time, but for gaming it is better to get the 970m or higher. 950/960m utilizes the older version of the Maxwell architecture whereas 970m and above are the newer Maxwell 2 and Pascal (1060m/1080m) versions with significant performance improvements. I just...
