I found a solution which I connected my 3.5 mm into back of my PC (green) to RCA in "CD" on the back of the receiver and set "CD" where I realized that my PC audio configuration (Realtek audio) was set "digital" which supposed to be set to "Speakers/Headphones". I got it solved and working great!

I'm trying to figure out how to connect my Yamaha HTR-5940 receiver to a Dell desktop computer. I couldn't figure out when the cables are correct plugged in and I still haven't gotten the sound. Please let me know. Thanks!
