Slightly smaller play area? People on Onward are constantly complaining about their Rifts in a small play area. Especially when they try to go prone; meanwhile, I can enjoy a 10' by 10' with my Vive and go prone all day long. Even nearing the corner of my play area I can still go prone.

A 1070 will draw a little less than 50% of what your PSU can put out on the 12v rail. So you are good.

Not sure I follow what you're saying. Have you checked for settings in Nvidia to make sure it isn't trying to treat your headset as a normal monitor?

Pure VR you can't go wrong with either one. I suggest you find a local store that has demo units and try them out.

Doesn't those software suites depend what is more useful? Some utilize the CPU while others utilize the GPU for rendering. How heavy are you into VR development in architecture visualization? You def want more than 16GB of ram if you're serious about it.

Get a 1080. I have the 1080 ti and it barely covers Fallout VR with SS@1.5. With VR, you want as much 'horsepower' as you can afford. That is if you just want to enjoy VR without messing with a bunch of ini/settings to get things running smoothly.

Volta is right around the corner, but if you want to buy now. Just get a video card.
