Should I be that worried about heat during the workloads I described? I had a cpu from 2014 (4th gen) and it seemed fine, but I hear people saying new 8/9/10th gen cpus are a lot hotter.

I think I recently zapped the mobo of my 7 year old MSI GS60 Ghost while cleaning it out. The chassis was cracked and warped from years of heat, and it's hinges had broken about 2 years into it's life, I had it duct taped lol- so I'm not interested in fixing it. I am, however, having trouble...
