looking to buy online (in the uk) Sony costs 800, the Dell 400 btw I saw an alienware pc with simlar spec to the sony was 1600 !

I am looking to buy a new laptop. I will mainly use it for Visual Studio and the web. I am looking at Sony VAIO EC EC1S1E or the Dell Inspiron 1750 T4300 Both have high res 17" screens, 4gb ram and appear quite similar at first glance. The Sony costs double the Dell - is it really worth it...
