So I just started folding@home and for the first couple of hours it said that I would have around 250,000 points earned per day. However after watching a movie and checking back it now only says that I am earning 50,000 points per day. Anyone know why this drop has suddenly happened?

So i'm thinking that I want to start using my PC for folding just so I could maybe help out a bit but I want to know what the biggest downsides are? Will it slow down my connection (internet where i'm from is already one of the slowest in the world), will it hold back my PC from performing well...
