I'm not sure how well the GTX 760 works with Sony Vegas 13. I've tried newer AMD and NVIDIA cards with very poor success using Vegas 12, Movie Studio 12 (and 13). Both the R2 290 and GTX 760 cards performed poorly with Vegas. It seems NVIDIA crippled cards after the 500 series as it wants...

I had the same problem. I put my GTX 570 back in and it works great.
