Well, saturday has just passed for me, no ethash folder! It was created on other days, but that was around 1 or 2 times out of 10 so i think its fixed!

Scanned the main drive, had like 600 virus files, most of them were in some kind of PCAppStore, which i think didn't do much, there were like 15 bitcoin mining files and 2 Trojans, so i'm gonna hope this fixed it. Gotta make a reminder to check this thread and check for the Ethash folder - I...

Oh, turns out i only scanned 1 drive with malwarebytes, and that drive isn't my main one, so probably gonna scan it later today.

No ports like that, neither in outbound or inbound. Also, a new file appeared just yesterday at 11:04pm (14th january)

The scan came up with nothing.

Nothing in the task scheduler, there is this thing "060184C3-9766-46a0-B258-F4518A0B2633" which is cscript.exe, but from what i've read it's something from windows. Quick scan for windows defender found nothing, gonna perform a full scan now.

Nothing, also disabled all the stuff i found useless(both in services and startup) but some useless stuff is still there as i cleaned it up pretty quickly.

There it is again, created yesterday at 4PM. This time i'm not gonna delete it and check the size. Just so i have a place to check, i'll put the size here - 1835008KB

Nothing. Searched thru my disks for rthdcpl and ethash, also searched thru registry, nothing. The Ethash folder has no files in it (I only deleted the files to see if leaving the folder there speeds anything up), and so far nothing has been created. I check the Ethash folder every day once or twice.

The event was saving a file, i searched up ethash in the event viewer - nothing, i looked at each section but nothing at that time. Do you mean the drive path to the Ethash folder? If so it's C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Ethash and it is not shared.

Well, just appeared at 9pm. Closest event to it is 10 minutes.

It didn't create this week, which is weird, usually creates on Saturday. Anyways the office events are some associated to saving and stuff. Also sorry for the long delay, i forget about things quickly.

Nothing, the only event at that time or close to it is some Office events.

Right, update - it gets created every saturday, 11pm for me. It's not a start up, it's something that's running that creates it at exactly this time. How do i know what created it?
