    Check you audio settings but Beats headphones do tend to muffle certain sounds from my experience and hence the reason why I hardly use them.

    He means get a good pair of stereo headphones or cans and get a separate mic. as for gaming headsets the Astro's are pretty good too.

    Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling chrome? And do you have any addons or extensions(adblock and so on) for chrome?

    Anwida Soft makes a 31 band EQ plugin. Also check out a site called KVR Audio.

    The ones that I've tried and like are Kaspersky, ESET and right now trying Avast. From my experience these don't bog your system down so much.
