All I mean by that is to reinstall windows which you have done. I checked around the web and BSOD can be caused by overheating. Other than that I'm stumped.

They may have botched the compound job which would explain the overheating, maybe even have loose heatsink screws that hold it tight to the cpu, but if you have to dig into it that far you may as well check inside the fan too. As far as the BSOD, a reload could help. I'm not convinced that...

You might try going to acer and see if they have a bios or other updates that you don't have yet. all the other 30 minute problems I found had no solutions. except motherboard replacements but that an expensive part to throw at it to see if it sticks. Sorry I couldn't help
