Thanks BFG-9000.....Problem is I don't get any sound out of the soundbar. I would have expected something even if I had to turn up the volume to get a hissy, tinny something....Thanks for clarifying phono pre-amp VS pre-amp.

Anybody any experience of this. Theoretically I should be able to connect my turntable in to the AUX RCA jacks of my soundbar shouldn't I as the soundbar is classed as a powered speaker? Appreciate a phono pre-amp would give me much improved sound but I just want to listen to my record for now...
