Your best bet is to make it record the GPU log and post it for analysis.

Try running GPU-z to identify what problems are occuring + set a custom fan profile to try and keep it constantly cool if temps are the issue.

It has a marginally better gpu for games, but overall performance will feel slower moving from a ssd to a hybrid drive, which is essentially just a hard drive, with a fast boot extra.
