If you wanted a Kaby Lake processor and Pascal GPU, now would be a great time to buy. Both have been on the market for a good amount of time, and I believe Nvidia will be releasing their next gen soon... might be good to wait for that if you wanted. Other than that, I don't think the laptop will...

Have you tried reinstalling graphics card drivers since the factory reset? Or checked to make sure that your system is using the 960m for everything by default? I've had this issue before, too.
