Yea, if i put the battery in, itll make a pop sound during startup and shut off.

My computer was making a single, loud, pop, then shutting off. I removed the battery an now it works fine. So, something is obviously wrong with the battery or something directly involved with the battery. Any idea what it is? I can't find anything on it. Do i need to get a new battery or is...
