    Problem wifi connection

    I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop with Windows 7 OS. I can connect to my home network by wifi but when I go to friends home cannot connect to his Sky router. The wifi connection light on laptop is active and lit up.If I use my tablet no problems connecting. Help please
