    Dell PC to Sony TV with HDMI - Why does my PC goes into "Energy Saving Mode"?

    When the Dell PC is connected (via HDMI) to Sony TV - Why does my PC goes into "Energy Saving Mode"? In this mode, the screen is black so I cannot access files to display on the TV (the TV displays the PC's desktop) Thanks for any help.
