My original 2tb hard drive that connected via USB into back of TV broke Bought a new external 3tb hard drive that would do same (stand along power plug and USB connection) however the TV does not reconise the connection. Video files are same as original that played on TV After a bit googling...

Is the an intermittent device out there to connect external HD to then that to tv USB?
