HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0xxx screen black but works with external monitor
It might be the ribbon cables connecting the LCD to the motherboard. Try replacing those and see if that fixes the issue

Acer Aspire 5742G: power button lights up, the noise of it working starts with the fan for few seconds. Then it cuts off with a ticking sound..why?
Have you checked the capacitors? When they go bad, it prevents the system from working. You can usually tell when one goes bad if it's bulging, leaking, or cracked
