Hi i forgot to mention that i was unsuccessful at duplicating to the TV screen so now i am left with a laptop that turns on but the screen is turned off and no other screens to try and fix it !! Thank you for your answer though , Any more help would be appreciated

Hi i was trying to duplicate what was on my mums lap top to her tv using a hdmi cable and i seem to have turned off her laptop screen !! now when i turn on her laptop the screen stays blank and i have no idea how i can turn it back on without the sceeen on to see what i am doing . Please help
