Looking for a decent gaming laptop

The only alienware worth its price is the 11 inch one. At least it was when it was 999, now it is more than 1000. Not worth it.

Need help to choose a gaming laptop

Go with MSI, much better than Gigabyte as a brand, and as of quality of their products. Don't expect much from the 5th generation processors. Also for gaming you don't need and i7 processor, I noticed both of them have i7. You could save some money if you get a similar laptop with an i5 instead...

    affordable gaming laptops

I personally don't think gaming laptops are affordable. But I would go with the Alienware M13 http://www.amazon.com/Alienware-ANW13-2273SLV-13-Inch-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B00SIJG2UW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1432663308&sr=8-1&keywords=Alienware+M13

CPU usage drop while gaming from 2.5 GHz to 0.8 - 1.7 GHz

The max temp of your processor is 100C, if you are noticing and increase on temperature, and a CPU performance drop, then your CPU is holding you back and there's nothing you can do other than lowering gaming quality. You could try and get one of those cooling desks for your laptop and see if...

    $400 Gaming PC

Don't build that. Since you're on a budget go for AMD processors not for that crappy dual-core intel. I couldn't build something below $400, but this is $436 + PSU which would go up to about 468 - 470 and it is much much better. Making a PC is a great experience, but make sure you know what...

CPU usage drop while gaming from 2.5 GHz to 0.8 - 1.7 GHz

Your plan is on high performance. But are you running on battery or plugged in to the power outlet?. Also what surface do you have your laptop when gaming? your processor could be overheating, can you monitor the temps with MSI afterburner or similar software?

Don't mess up with anything. Call them and let them do the work. And you're welcome.

Toshiba touchpad is not working properly

I wouldn't try to mess up with anything as your laptop is still under warranty. Contact Toshiba, they will fix it for you if it is a driver related issue. If it is a hardware related issue they will either fix it for you or send you a new laptop. Good luck
