I'd rather spend $20 more now and be happy with my headphones for years, than to spend less and would have to buy a new pair in the near future. I found out that paying a bit more is usually worth it in the long run, heck how long do you have to work for $20-$30, probably less than a working day.

I'd go with Audio Techinca or Sennheiser.. but hopefully your Sony's will serve you well.
