Omgosh that makes sense! Thank you! Conformation is a bit delayed, that wasn't scareware, it was karmawsre. I hadn't shut my computer off for a really long time. Battery needs changing & it's not in a good spot. So I switch on procrastination. No more delays lol, there files I gotta get to.

"Safe Browsing"(ext popup) on chrome installed a virus which caused a real or fake windows warning telling me that my personal info was at risk & I needed to call immediately to remove. Scared the crap out of me, the pop up warning didn't feel real. I did try and launch my malwarebytes...
