Hi, thanks for the reply. I have already taken out the motherboard, since there are ASUS models where the CMOS battery is on the underside of the motherboard. But it seems that the CMOS battery location is different on my model, as I couldn't find it on the underside of the motherboard.

Hi, as the title states, I have an ASUS K501UX laptop, and I would like to know where the CMOS battery is located on this laptop. Thank you. Here is a pic of my laptop with the back cover removed:
