    Best Gaming laptop for $500

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834310645CVF a10 4600m with integrated 7660hd gfx. It'll run cod for you on med. I checked, avg of 36fps on high settings for modern warfare. Also, you could get a chromebook($250), and a $300 extremely cheap pc, that'll still run better...

    Best gaming/school laptop?

Lenovo y580 is the only one i can think of off the top of my mind that fits your reqs. (except that i got 1080p version for $900, and that might top out your budget.) I have one; its good, but chunky, and max battery life is between 3.5 and 4 hrs surfing (less if video watching) Also note that...

    Need New laptop for school

*trust the guy with the really long post*. I bought a y580 for $900 and now its the most valuable thing i own, and i don't want to bring it to school. I just get by without a laptop. I'm in grade 11 now, and i haven't yet brought my laptop to school because it's heavy and expensive. Get a $250...

    Help picking a laptop

have you considered the y500. on lenovo's website, it starts at 699 pounds, assuming you're in the u.k. i5 and gt 650m, though, so if you want to game, y580's you're best bet.

    Thinking about a Netbook.

my bro has a thin business-class 14" acer timeline x. I have a thick 15" lenovo y580. While the screen size does make a difference, it seems that the thickness is just as important or more for comfort. Look at screen bezel, too.

Looking for a good laptop for between $600 - $800

Lenovo Y400 or Y500 have 650m's in them; the y580 (im using one right now) goes for $850, but has a gtx 660m. win 8 though... P.S. I don't know about the 400 or 500 but the 580 works great. As for Crysis, 650m should play on low at 50fps (720p), 660m would be playable on med settings. If you...

    3317u or 3210m

3317 u is slower, but uses less battery. 3210m is faster, but uses more battery. 3210m is roughly 20 percent faster, give or take due to the boost. both are good though.

Help with purchase, high graphics, $1000 max.

Typing this from my lenovo y580: Its awesome, gtx 660m is great, but the hard drive is slow, and the battery life seems to fade a little. (and its a little bit thick). All in all, an excellent buy. Luckily, it has an open mSATA slot for an ssd, and you dont need great battery life. P.S. I got...
