I don't believe it's illegal, you own the device, and you can do whatever you want with it. It just voids the warranty and apple care I believe. But I doubt you'll be arrested with messing with your own property.

I would get new Surface Pro 3 if you have the money

For a gaming laptop an i7 is better, however an i5 with a better gpu is better for gaming

Since the Xperia Z has more features I would go for it and on a side-note if it overheats just let it take a nice dip in a cup of water XD

If you are using Straight Talk it is a phone line by Walmart and uses Verizon Cell-Phone Towers. Although I'm not sure if the service/performance will be as good.

The phone it self varies depending on the temperature. The environment in the video is clearly a test environment in which it is made optimal for phone performance. In this case the flexibility is overstressed. My guess in that in an everyday the phone won't perform that well due to colder...
