cyberlink powerdvd 12. it is updated and I ran my scan, nothing shows. I was watching a movie before this and it was fine. switched dvds and now it's happening. and yes I've tried the previous dvd too still happens, when an hour previous it worked fine. and I'm not connected to internet...

nope. internet stays on. just background stays on. apps..etc. ONLY watching a dvd it times out after 20 seconds, then blinks on and off. dvd remains playing. sounds stays on.

do you mean plugged in? then yes. I tried just putting dvd in and letting it loaf, and also starting program before loading dvd. doesn't make a difference. power setting I turned all of them to never time out jist to see if it made a difference. it doesnt. I also tried holding in power...

so I have a alienware 17. today while watching a dvd (which I do very very frequently), my screen times out after 20 seconds, then would start to blink. the dvd remained playing (I could hear it, just not see it). I made sure my screen savers and every other setting was all good and proper...
