The HD 518's are on-sale at Woot for $55. Best you'll find under $100; their regular price is actually $80. Grab a Zalman clip-on mic if you need one and you are good to go for about $60.

What would you say your budget is?

IMO, the Creatives are the best of what's listed here. It's always best to demo headphones if possible though, since you may not like them. What do you plan on using these for?

Do they need to be closed headphones?

Some say they are uncomfortable, but it's usually because they are a bit tight out-of-the-box. A quick stretching takes care of that and they are then very comfortable. Maybe look at the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's too. They are a bit more expensive than the M30x's, but they are great headphones.

I'd get a pair of ATH-M30x's and buy a stand-alone or clip-on mic, you could also use ModMic for a bit more. These are much better quality than any similarly priced gaming headphones.

It should work with any headphones you can stick the base clasp onto. You install the base clasp (it uses adhesive) and attach the mic to it, so any flat surface should work.

The M30x's, no reason to get the older model anymore. You don't need an amp. You could use one if you want, but it's not needed.

I'd just get a pair of ATH-M30's and tack on modmic. Way better than the G35's.
