    Solved! ASUS X551MA - Upgrading RAM passed max specification?

    Ram is 4GB and I have seen that's the max but I have read some posts on here of people who have upgraded it to 8GB, my question to those people or anyone who knows is if it actually reads 8GB? Will installing an 8GB stick hurt the laptop if it tries to boot? thanks in advanced
