not a single advantage??? Can you carry something to fill it up when you've heard the same songs over and over for hours at a time? I can carry the mini-cdr unit (which plays mp3's, in case you weren't sure), and a stack of burnt cd's in mp3 format... well over 50 hours of music in my back... -

why not a mini-disc mp3 player? Maybe I read your question wrong. I have a 64mb Intel mp3 player, get about 1 1/2hrs worth off of it. Battery life is about 6 hours on 1 AA battery. Also have the Napa 8cm mini-cdr mp3 player, about 3 hours of mp3 on a disc, with battery life being a dismal 4... -

You can pick up the Compaq version of the Napa mini-cdr player off of ebay for about 60bucks. Although I would recommend buying a seperate battery charger, and a couple sets of Nimh batteries, as battery life is around 3 hours. Haven't read anything about the Beatman 2. <b>"These are my... -

I've had no problems with skipping with my NAPA. Advertises 480 seconds of skip protection, and I believe it. Never once had a skip. And I use this in my back pocket at work every night for around 4 hours. <b>"These are my thoughts, your mileage may vary." -

I bought the Napa version (there are many others based on the same design). Pretty slick, battery life isn't great, it comes with rechargable batteries when hooked to the power suppy does a trickle charge over about 8 hours. I use it for work and it only lasts about 3 hours. I dunno if buying... -

I bought the NAPA 8cm mini-cdr mp3 player. Not bad, but battery life is about 7 hours. Didn't like the expense of the memory stick types of players. Had the entry Intel one with 64mb built it and MMC card expansion, only 1 hour of tunes. With the 8cm CDR discs I can put about 3 hours of mp3...
