    Apple Patents iPhone Gaming Controller

I don't understand how an over-broad, generic idea can be submitted for a patent. I thought you had to detail the implementation, but it sure looks like that isn't required.

SPAMbots, yes, but such good looking SPAMbots.

Apple WWDC: 3 Things Apple Needs to Prove

Personally, I think there is one thing Apple needs to prove that isn't on this list - especially in light of the smart home. They need to prove they can play nice with others. While they have done so well in the past, it would be nice to see them step up their game in this area once again.

5 Things Samsung Should Do for Galaxy Gear 2

I agree - loose the camera. Why is every company so intent on stuffing cameras into devices that don't really call for them? I'd also love to see a tablet (a good one) with only the front facing camera, or even no camera, since I don't do video chats.

Jailbreak, Root or Unlock Your Smartphone - FAQ

I can't help but wonder about this in light of computers. If I buy a computer with Windows installed on it, and then down the road I decide I want to put Linux on it, or some other OS, am I infringing a copyright? If I buy a phone and complete the contract, so that now the phone is fully mine...

Why the Latest NSA Leak Is the Scariest of All

The article states that the spy agencies "broke into the computer servers of uncooperative companies to steal information ..." If your work was that important, why didn't you go through the proper channels? Why not do it legally, do it right? Too slow for you? Too bad, but that's part of what...

Why Security Is Often an Afterthought on Video Game Websites

My question is, are they that lax in the security for their game code? If they aren't, if they aggressively protect their coding, then why don't they protect our information as diligently? And I think the article answers that question - the bar has been low [in terms of security] at these...

Samsung's Latest Galaxy S4 Commercial is Super Bizarre

Sigurgeir Helgason hit the nail on the head. This ad was done for Iceland - and it shows the quirks of Icelandic humour. You wouldn't be seeing this ad anywhere else, except for the power of the Internet. I am a Western Icelander.

Opinion: 70% of Teens Hide Online Behavior from Parents, And How I Feel About It

You chose a difficult topic here, as shown by the comments above. I think you gave a noble effort, and I sense a degree of frustration in it - but then, you are a parent. While I don't agree with you on every point, that may be because in such a short article you don't have the space to go into...

MPAA Doubling Down, Alleges Video Embeds are Infringement

Perhaps I'm just too dumb to understand it, but isn't linking simply giving the URL - like www,tomshardware.com ? If that is the case then we also may be infringing copyright when we tell someone, verbally, that they should check out this cool video at www.cantwatchthis.com. Why, I may be...

Congressmen Want Warning Labels on All Games

So all games other than those rated Early Childhood are "extremely" violent? Really? Auditorium is rated E - is it extremely violent? Katamari Damacy is extremely violent? Little Big Planet? Really? Pass a law that requires all politicians to devote a minimum of 1 hour of playtime of each game...

Messaging Apps Took $13.9 Billion from Carriers in 2011

They didn't lose that much money - they never had it to begin with. What the egghead analysts at Ovum fail to realize is that words have meaning. A more accurate analysis would be that IF people were inclined to pay per text, or IF there was no other method of sending text messages, then...

Apple Trying to Shutdown Android with Galaxy Nexus Ban?

This makes me sad. What a pitiful conclusion to an amazing life. When he freely admitted to shamelessly stealing from the best, it is unfortunate that he dell victim to hypocrisy in the end. Because this action seems to be motivated dominantly from Steve Jobs irrational hatred, I hope the...
