From what I could see the cases were identical because the both use the dv6 setup and from what I could tell from the manuals the Envy is compatible with all the parts on the Pavilion. The only thing that is different between them is that Envy computers come with Windows 8 already installed but...

So even if all the parts were the same except for the APU I would still need to do a fresh install of windows?
