Sorry to be a PITA, but I don't have much experience with AMD cpu's, and don't want to make the leap now. $2000 is not a problem for me, but I just don't want much of the money going into the screen and video "card". It just needs to be a very fast quad core I7, with a 17" screen.

Sorry for the earlier posting. I'm looking for a fast laptop with a 17" screen, but don't need fast video since this is for a music app that has almost nothing going on video-wise. I'm hoping that might save me some money. Needs to be roughly 2.6 Ghz and have at least 6 gigs of memory. Any...
