Without pressing any buttons after it has started, do you notice recycle bin icon highlighted? Try pressing the windows key, or use arrow keys to navigate the desktop screen. if this works, its a failed or stuck mousepad. I have it on my asipre one. Really annoying but if i hold the power button...
