Tks, I did some more googling and found out that you can't connect directly between projector and tv but have to go through dvd/blu ray device.

I have an AAXA LED SHOWTIME projector with HDMI port. I tried to connect it directly to my HDMI TV to watch tv programs on the big screen through the projector but there is no signal or connection. Can you connect to play film directly from tv only through Blu Ray recorder? HDMI connection...
