    Buyers remorse?

It seems like overkill for your uses. You probably could have gotten a desktop that would have fit your needs for about half what you paid (w/out monitor)

Laptop face off: AMD A8 v Intel i3 (Yes that old nut)

The i3 is much faster at single and dual threaded apps, which is about 98% of what your going to use it for. It's also more efficient and runs cooler, which will save battery. However, the A8 has much better grahpics for gaming.

What is best bang for buck?

You don't want a netbook and you don't want Windows starter. Get a laptop, either Pentium or i3 with a full version of Windows. If you buy a netbook you'll also have to buy a external DVD-RW because it doesn't come with one. It's also tiny and cheaply made and slow.

I cannot seem to find a download for FlashPlayer 10.3, not one that looks legit anyways. I downloaded it from a couple sites but it doesn't...

    A10 VS i3

Id take the i3. It'll use a lot less power and create a lot less heat too. The whole point of trinity is it's strong graphics core, and buying one and not using the graphics core doesn't make a lot of sense.
