Plug in your iPhone to your computer. It should appear as a camera(in windows or linux, macs are against my religion, jk). Click on the iPhone and you should see a folder called DCMI. This folder should contain all of the folders with your pictures

I know I had that trouble with #s and ". Check your keyboard layout to see if it is set to some other country or something. Updating the drivers could help too

You could be overheating the CPU/gpu. Check if it is getting hot when it goes black. Does it make any noises when it goes black?

If you connect the iPad to your computer and open it from my computer, you can just go into its files. Your photos will be in DCMI. Using iTunes or another digital camera software will work too.

I have a cables unlimited hard drive dock for internal hard drives. On the back it has several ports, all of which I recognize, except for one marked PWR, seemingly, the power port. The port looks like the plugs on old keyboards and mice, but I have no cable that would fit. Does anybody know...
