nope iwas wrog that setting only fixes the shutdown sleep still broken

i found out ow to fix it,for most ppl its caused by fast startup being selected,which can be changed in the power management tab.thanks for the answer though

i already updated it P.S. i updated my operatingsoftware a while ago and since(sorry for not mentioning it) my laptop diesnt shut down either ,the screen turns off but the lights and internal fan still work.ive tried long pressing the button thanks tough

A while ago i tried putting my acer Aspire V5-561G to sleep and after some time i tried waking it up but nothing happened,i pressed every key and the power button,thhe battery was full and the lights were blinking but the screen was not turning on.I have to hold the power button to turn it off...
