I personally have pondered many times whether or not a sound card is actually a justifiable investment in my otherwise pristine computer. I am willing to spend at least a couple hundred on a reasonable sized good looking monitor, almost as much or more on a video card to play on that monitor...

Made the decision today at work... purchased it after work... currently posting this on my new HP Mini :) So far so good! Keyboard is surprisingly easy to get used to and screen is JUST big enough for browsing websites... We'll see how it works for me long-term but so far I'm in love

Wife has a newer notebook and I have a good desktop, I need something small and ultra-portable for browsing the web while the wife is on her notebook :) I want something comfy to browse the web while sitting on the couch! Most laptops are 5-8lbs, this Netbook is under 3lbs :)

Thanks for the support! I went to London Drugs today and played around with the netbooks a bit.. I like the feel of the keyboard just as much as any normal laptop.. they all feel small compared to a desktop keyboard ;) I am really excited for this since I've never owned a laptop before! Wife...

Good questions to ask and I'll answer as best I can. I have a Desktop right now with a 1TB HDD for storage, and I use the desktop for any intensive tasks. My wife has a Dual-Core Sony Vaio 15.4" Laptop with 3gb Ram etc... I do love her Laptop, however it is a bit bulky, the battery life SUCKS...

Thanks for the input, never really thought about battery life... Did a little digging, and for $50 more this one has double the cells, and advertises to last up to 8 hours...
