I am having a similar problem with my yamaha rx-v371. I would think the AVR would convert to analog before it goes to audio out jacks, but maybe we need a DAC between the PC and the AVR.

My yamaha rx-v371 has audio out jacks that convey signals from all sources except my pc. I wish to add additional speakers, as there are only speaker connections for 5.1 to stream Spotify. How can this be accomplished without buying another receiver?
