Is it possible to remove the protection relay out of a home audio amplifier?

So I have this TEAC SA-200 amplifier, it works good and I'm guessing it pushes out at least 150w per channel because I have been able to blow 100w rms speakers easily. My issue is that I have in total four subwoofers hooked up to it. Two Cerwin Vega Mobile Hed 150w subs in a sealed box and two...

Would a higher watt hour battery kill a laptop?

This all started because I bought a Chromebook on Letgo for $15 and since I was really far from where the dude wanted to meet he threw in a free laptop. I found out the Chromebook is re-enrollment locked so I'm not even going to bother with it. The laptop he said would power on then shut off...

Solved! Would it be possible to make a car amplifier portable?

I have a really stupid idea to turn one of my old backpacks into a 300w portable speaker. I plan on using an 8 inch Pyle subwoofer and a few mids and tweeters. I want to know how to wire a car amplifier up to run off of a battery (if possible) I don't exactly want to lug a 14 pound car battery...

Solved! Info on a TEAC SA-200 Amplifier and ST-200 AM/FM Stereo Tuner?

Update: I got a pair of Fisher DS-825's. The tweeters and mids were both replaced, but the system is still 100w (I checked to make sure) and today I played some bass heavy music over the system and the volume was at 4. My room now smells like burnt copper, the speakers aren't blown yet but were...

Solved! Info on a TEAC SA-200 Amplifier and ST-200 AM/FM Stereo Tuner?

Does anybody know if it has a protection circuit? I know my previous system (Sony MHC-GX450) had a protection circuit which made it hard to blow speakers, also why my Zenith speakers have lasted so long. But this amp appears not to have one, or if it does, it hasn't kicked in.

Solved! Info on a TEAC SA-200 Amplifier and ST-200 AM/FM Stereo Tuner?

I literally just found a TEAC SA-200 Integrated Amplifier and a TEAC ST-200 AM/FM Stereo Tuner. Someone threw them out, but they seem to work just fine. So far I hooked up my pair of Zenith SRF711B 2 way speakers (15watts) to it and I can definitely confirm the amp has more power than 15w. I...
