    How to I hook up an hdmi bluray to a vizio plasma tv

    I hooked up the hdmi cord from my bluray player to my hdmi jack on my vizio plasma...I set it to hdmi in the menu settings on the TV but it's not picking it up and recognizing it like my led screen TV does.....what am I doing wrong?????
